Organisation

Day-to-day management of the Norwegian Railway Authority is carried out by the Director General of the Authority. The Director General is appointed by the King of Norway on the basis of a recommendation from the Minister of Transport and Communications. The Authority is divided into four departments:

• Administration
• Legal
• Audits
• Safety and Technology

Each of the four departments is led by a Director of Department. The Director General and the four Directors of Department make up the Authority's management team and crisis group.
